Not a Happy New Year for the Vikings

The Viking’s losing streak reached 5 games with a 53-45 loss to Gospel Light.  The loss puts the young Vikings at 1-7 for the season and 1-3 in the conference.  Most of the boys couldn’t shake off the holiday rust and let the game get out of hand during the 3rd quarter.  One bright spot of the game was Stevie Thompson’s season high 22 point performance.  Tyler Biggs had 9 points off the bench and was 60% from beyond the arc.

The JV boys played a decent game but came up three points short.  John Grant kept the boys close with his 19 points and a timely 3 point shot from Justin Treadway brought the boys within 1 but it wasn’t enough.  The final score was 36-33.  The JV boys record is 1-4.
