When my son, Philip, started playing JV Basketball at Vandalia Christian School in the fall of 2005, I wanted to use a newly acquired camera to capture him in action. Well, after numerous failures, I started to get decent pictures. Whenever I would walk in to a game, other parents would always ask me if I got any good pictures of their kids playing. I started taking pictures for them to look at and before long I was having between 40 and 60 pictures printed after every game.

As the pictures got better, it was harder and harder to pick only a few to print. I also wanted to be able to share my pictures with the players and families from the other schools that we played. That's when I decided to start Action Shots Online.
